Die Fondation de l’Abbatiale de Bellelay freut sich, Galop gallop galopp, eine Ausstellung von Gil Pellaton zu präsentieren. Die Ausstellung besteht aus drei Installationen, die der Künstler als «Gesänge» bezeichnet. Jeder dieser Gesänge bildet ein Feld, auf dem sich vom Künstler gefundene, gefertigte oder hybride Objekte zu einem poetischen Zusammenspiel verbinden. Die Gebilde erinnern an Strophen aus freien Versen, wiederholen sich, klingen im Echo des anderen nach, wachsen ineinander, tauschen ihre Rollen, erzeugen Parallelen und lassen gebrochene Strukturen entstehen. Die gestalterischen Eingriffe und das Spiel mit konkreten Alltagsgegenständen, die an die Stelle von Worten und Klängen treten, schaffen eine räumliche Komposition, welche die Wahrnehmung der Abteikirche subtil, aber beharrlich verändert.

The Fondation de l’abbatiale de Bellelay is pleased to announce the exhibition Galop gallop galopp by artist Gil Pellaton. The exhibition consists of three installations that the artist refers to as “songs”. Each song is also a field where found, manufactured, associated, or hybridized objects come together. The relationships between the objects are poetic in nature. They form units akin to strophes of free verse. They repeat, echo one another, interlock, permute, and establish parallels and fragmented structures. These operations and interplay with everyday objects that stand in for words or sounds produce a spatial composition aimed at transforming the perception of the abbey church in a subtle yet persistent manner.
